Daily Goal: Determine your strategy for controlling impulse spending.
Lists, lists, lists, this is my main way to deter impulse spending. I try always take a list of what I need with me no matter where I go shopping. I have also been known to go to target "just because" which I am trying to put an end to because I know that leads to impulse shopping.
My biggest hurdle when it comes to impulse shopping is fast food though. When I do have errands to run & the kids are getting cranky it is so easy to stop in somewhere to get a quick bite. And we don't eat at McDonalds/Sonic places so it typically isn't cheap. This is where I need to work on. I need to remember to bring water bottles and snacks when we leave the house in order to curb the impulse to grab a quick bite.
